Fallapalooza Part 1 : Saturday

Our work schedules aren't terrible, but sometimes the fact that Joe works every other weekend makes it hard to fit in all the stuff we want to do as a family.  Still, I was determined to fit in all of our Fall celebrations and if that meant it all had to happen in one weekend .. then we were willing to do it.

And Fallapalooza was born. Yes, we're dorks.

On Saturday night, after a trip to Toys R Us and other fun morning happenings,  we went to the pumpkin patch at Roba's Farm.

Joey got juice in a pumpkin sippy and a cookie. He's 14 months old and I'm pretty sure this was his first cookie.  Big time stuff!
It was pretty cold out and I don't think we'll be going back at night again.  It was an error in judgement on my part, but we had fun anyway.
I just love this picture of our "small pumpkin" looking for his pumpkin.
Our rule is that you have to be able to carry -- or at least pick  up ;o) -- your own pumkin so Joey still shops in the small pumpkin patch :o).

It's really hard to get a one year old to stand still in front of the things that show how tall you are!

One of the hazards of taking your baby to the pumpkin patch at night is that he will be the only baby and you'll have about 10,000 heart attacks as the bigger kids zoom past him and jump over him.  My momma bear almost came out like five times.
Basically, the reason we came so late this year is that I read online about the sundown marshmellow roast and thought it sounds like just about the best thing ever.  It wasn't really the best thing ever .. I was picturing guitar players singing kumbaya which did not come to be.  It was still cute though.
And Joey did like his marshmellow :o)

Gotta love Fall <3
